1994 – 25 Cents Quarter Canada

The 1994 Canadian 25-cent coin features the iconic caribou design on the reverse, created by Canadian artist Emanuel Hahn, depicting a left-facing caribou head with the denomination between its antlers. The obverse shows Queen Elizabeth II wearing a circular diamond crown decorated with roses, shamrocks, and thistles, designed by Arnold Machin. The coin is composed of 99.9% nickel, weighs 5.05 grams, has a diameter of 23.88 mm, and a reeded edge. With a mintage of approximately 77,670,000, the coin is magnetic and was struck primarily for circulation. The Latin inscription “ELIZABETH II D. G. REGINA” surrounds the Queen’s bust, and the reverse bears the inscriptions “CANADA,” “25 CENTS,” and the year “1994”.
