Produced by the Royal Canadian Mint, the design includes an uncrowned bust of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, created by Dora de Pédery-Hunt, while the reverse—designed by G. E. Kruger-Gray—shows the iconic Canadian beaver sitting on a log above water, and bears the inscriptions “5 CENTS CANADA 2012”.
