The 1974 Canadian 10-cent coin, made of nickel and weighing 2.07 grams with a diameter of 18.03 mm, features on its obverse a bust of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a tiara, designed by Arnold Machin. The reverse displays a stylized schooner, the Bluenose, sailing with tall sails, designed by Emanuel Hahn. The coin has a reeded edge, is magnetic, and was minted by the Royal Canadian Mint with a circulation mintage of over 201 million.
