The obverse displays Queen Elizabeth II, depicted at age 64 wearing a diamond crown, surrounded by the Latin inscription “ELIZABETH II D. G. REGINA 1867-1992,” designed by Dora de Pédery-Hunt. Struck in 99.9% nickel, the coin measures 23.88 mm in diameter, weighs 5.05 g, has a plain edge, and features medal alignment.
