1929 – 10 Cents Dime Canada

The 1929 Canadian 10 cents coin is a silver coin composed of 80% silver and 20% copper, with a weight of 2.32 grams and a diameter of 18.03 mm. It features on the obverse a left-facing portrait of King George V designed by Sir Edgar Bertram Mackennal, with the inscription “GEORGIVS V DEI GRA : REX ET IND : IMP :”. The reverse, designed by William Henry James Blakemore, displays a crowned numeral “10” with two branches of maple leaves tied with a ribbon below, representing Canada’s national symbol. This coin has a reeded edge and a medal alignment orientation. It was produced as a circulation strike by the Royal Canadian Mint with a mintage of 3,253,888, making it moderately common among collectors.
