The Kodak Vigilant Six-16 is a self-erecting folding camera with a metal body covered in leather, designed in an Art Deco style and produced in the early 1930s. It takes 2½ x 4¼ inch exposures on 616 roll film and features two finders—a swiveling brilliant finder attached to the lens for portrait and landscape framing, and a gunsight-type finder on the body. It has a Kodak Anastigmat 126mm f/6.3 lens paired with a No. 1 Diodak shutter offering speeds from 1/10 to 1/100 second plus T and B modes. The camera is appreciated for its elegant design, ease of use, and decent image quality despite limited shutter speed options and aperture settings from f/6.3 to f/32.
