The Kodak 3A Autographic Model C is a vertical format folding camera produced by Eastman Kodak Company between 1912 and 1915. It uses 122 roll film, which produces postcard-sized negatives (3¼” x 5½”), and features a rising and cross front mechanism with a revised baseboard leather-covered layout. This model included a reflecting finder fitted to the lens standard and was among the last of the No 3A series before the autographic back became standard in 1914. The autographic feature allowed photographers to write notes directly onto the film margins using a metal stylus via a window on the back. It has a Bausch & Lomb Rapid Rectilinear two-element lens with a shutter offering speeds from 1/25 to 1/100 seconds plus bulb and time modes. The camera was originally fitted with red bellows, later changing to black, and includes a fine adjustment mechanism on the rising front and a lever-action lock on the cross front.
