The Kodak Tourist (Anaston) is a medium-format folding camera produced by Eastman Kodak from around the late 1940s to early 1950s. It features a durable die-cast aluminum alloy body covered in a synthetic leather called “Kodadur,” with sturdy metal folding struts and a gray plastic top plate housing an eye-level telescopic viewfinder. The Anaston lens versions are equipped with front-element focusing and are among the higher-quality models, featuring three-element Cooke triplet type lenses with apertures ranging up to f/4.5 and shutter speeds from 1/10 to 1/200 seconds. The camera uses 620 roll film for 6cm x 9cm medium format images and includes manual controls for frame advancement and shutter cocking, with flash synchronization capabilities. It offers a sliding exposure calculator on the back for assisting exposure settings, designed for Kodak films of the era.
