It features the young Queen Elizabeth II wearing a laurel wreath on the obverse side, designed by Mary Gillick, and the reverse displays two maple leaves on the same twig, a design by G.E. Kruger-Gray. The coin has a plain edge, is non-magnetic, and was minted by the Royal Canadian Mint with a mintage of around 139.6 million pieces.
