2000 – 25 Cents Quarter Canada – Achievement Commemorative Coin

The 2000 Canadian 25-cent coin from the Millennium series, themed “Achievement,” was designed by Daryl Ann Dorosz. It features a design symbolizing achievement with a reference to space conquest, surrounded by the bilingual inscriptions “CANADA” and “ACHIEVEMENT 2000 RÉALISATION.” The obverse shows Queen Elizabeth II with an effigy by Canadian artist Dora de Pédery-Hunt. This coin was part of a special series issued to celebrate the new millennium and was widely circulated, with a mintage of over 35 million pieces.
