2008 – 25 Cents Quarter Canada – Olympic Freestyle Skiing Commemorative Coin

The 2008 Canadian freestyle skiing coin is a 25-cent circulation coin issued by the Royal Canadian Mint as part of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games series. It features a freestyle skier in front of a stylized maple leaf, designed by Glen Green, with the inscriptions “VANCOUVER 2010,” the face value “25 cents,” and the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is composed of 94% steel, 3.8% copper, and 2.2% nickel plating, with a mintage of 22,400,000 pieces, and was released in brilliant uncirculated condition to commemorate the Olympic sport of freestyle skiing.
