2021- 10 Cents Dime Canada – 1921-2021

The 2021 Canadian 10 cents coin commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Bluenose schooner, a celebrated fishing and racing vessel launched in 1921 in Nova Scotia. This centennial edition features a redesigned portrayal of the Bluenose by marine artist Yves Bérubé, showing the schooner under full sail with a dynamic, angled view, including a special edition with blue coloring to depict the North Atlantic waters. The coin also includes the original classic schooner image by Emanuel Hahn, which first appeared on the dime in 1937, both of which are double-dated 1921-2021 to mark the centenary. The obverse shows Queen Elizabeth II’s effigy by Susanna Blunt. The commemorative coins were issued in various versions including uncirculated, proof, and colored circulation pieces, with millions minted to celebrate this enduring Canadian symbol.
