The 2021 Canadian $1 Klondike uncolored coin commemorates the 125th anniversary of the Klondike Gold Rush. Designed by Canadian artist Jori van de Linde, the reverse depicts a detailed engraving of the historic gold discovery at Bonanza Creek, featuring figures of Keish (\u201cSkookum\u201d Jim Mason), Shaaw Tl\u00e0a (Kate Carmack), K\u00e0a Goox (Dawson Charlie), all of Ling\u00edt and Tagish descent, along with George Carmack, panning for gold under the shining sun. Opposite the creek in the design is the cultural symbol \u00cbdh\u00e4 D\u00e4dh\u00ebch\u0105 (Moosehide Slide), representing the Tr\u2019ond\u00ebk Hw\u00ebch\u2019in people and their connection to the land. The coin is made of multi-ply brass plated steel, magnetic, weighs 6.27 grams, measures 26.5 mm in diameter, and has a plain edge.
