Whitehouse Products Inc.
Whitehouse Products Inc. was a camera manufacturer based in Brooklyn, New York, USA, known primarily for producing simple Bakelite and later plastic snapshot cameras under the brand name Beacon. Their camera models, such as the Beacon, Beacon II, and Two-Twenty Five, were typically black but also came in various colors, and were designed for easy use with features like collapsible lens panels and fixed-focus lenses. The Two-Twenty Five model notably used 620 film and produced 2¼ x 2¼ inch square images. Whitehouse cameras included practical features like built-in flash synchronization and rotary shutters, and some models were closely related to other brands, such as the Argus 127. The company operated mainly from the late 1940s through the 1960s, contributing accessible and affordable cameras to the market during that period.
