2015 – 25 Cents Quarter Canada

The 2015 Canadian 25-cent coin, commonly known as the Caribou quarter, features a left-facing image of a caribou head designed by Emanuel Hahn, with the denomination “25 cents” situated between the antlers. The obverse side bears the uncrowned bust of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Susanna Blunt, surrounded by the inscription “ELIZABETH II D · G · REGINA.” The coin is made primarily of copper-plated steel (94% steel, 3.8% copper, 2.2% nickel) with a magnetic property, weighs 4.4 grams, and measures 23.88 mm in diameter with a reeded edge. It is a standard circulation coin with a mintage of over 72 million in 2015 and retains the classic caribou design that has been a staple on Canadian quarters since 1937.
