The coin features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse side by artist Susanna Blunt, while the reverse showcases the iconic Bluenose schooner, a stylized sailing ship symbolizing Canada’s maritime heritage, designed by Emanuel Hahn. The coin has a reeded edge, medal alignment, and carries the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II D – G – REGINA” on the obverse and “CANADA 2016 10 CENTS” on the reverse. Approximately 220 million of these coins were minted for circulation. There are also various mint states for collectors ranging from circulated coins to high-grade mint state coins, with value varying accordingly.
