The obverse features a portrait of King George V with the Latin inscription “GEORGIVS V DEI GRA:REX ET IND:IMP,” meaning “George V, by the grace of God, King and Emperor of India.” The reverse displays two iconic Canadian maple leaves, symbolizing the country. Designed by Sir Edgar Bertram Mackennal (obverse) and William Henry James Blakemore (reverse), this coin has a plain smooth edge, weighs 4.54 grams, and measures 21.21 mm in diameter.
