1952 – 5 Cents Canada

The Canadian 1952 5 cents coin, also known as the nickel, was minted by the Royal Canadian Mint and features a composition of nickel and chrome-plated steel, giving it magnetic properties. It weighs 4.54 grams and has a diameter of 21.3 mm with a plain (smooth) edge. The obverse displays a bust of King George VI with the legend “GEORGIVS VI DEI GRATIA REX,” designed by Mary Gillick, while the reverse shows a beaver on a log, designed by G. E.
