The obverse features a crowned bust of King George V facing left, designed by Sir Edgar Bertram Mackennal, while the reverse shows the denomination “25 CENTS” and the year “1918” within a wreath topped by a crown, designed by William Henry James Blakemore. The coin is non-magnetic, has a reeded edge, and was minted by the Royal Canadian Mint with an approximate mintage of 4,175,649 pieces. The obverse inscription reads “GEORGIVS V DEI GRA : REX ET IND : IMP :”.
