The reverse displays the iconic beaver sitting on a log over the inscription “CANADA,” flanked by two maple leaves and marked with the denomination “5 CENTS,” a design by G. E. Kruger-Gray originally introduced in 1937. The coin includes the “P” mint mark to indicate it was minted in 2002, with a high mintage of approximately 135,960,000 pieces by the Royal Canadian Mint.
