1995 – 25 Cents Quarter Canada

The 1995 Canadian 25-cent coin, commonly called the quarter, features on its obverse a bust of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a circular diamond crown decorated with roses, shamrocks, and thistles, designed by Arnold Machin. The reverse shows the iconic caribou head designed by Emanuel Hahn. The coin is made of nickel, weighs 5.05 grams, has a diameter of 23.88 mm, a thickness of 1.6 mm, and a reeded edge. It has a magnetic property and a medal alignment axis. The coin bears the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II D – G – REGINA” on the obverse and “CANADA 25 CENTS 1995” on the reverse. It was minted by the Royal Canadian Mint with a large circulation mintage of about 89.2 million and is available in circulation, uncirculated, specimen, and proof finishes.
